Other sectors - such as publishing - soon flanked philately, our core business. Bolaffi's superiority has been confirmed since 1956, when the first National Stamp Catalogue was published. Giulio Bolaffi Editore published a high number of specialised catalogues in the sixties and seventies on a variety of topics, including automobiles, wines, grappa, pipes, hunting rifles, cinema and yachting. Intelligent suggestions for leisure activities come from specialised magazines, like Bolaffi Week-End and Bolaffi Arte. Giulio Bolaffi Editore printed the first modern art catalogue in Italy 1962: numerous new editions followed this first publishing success.
Today, the Bolaffi publishing tradition goes on in the new editions of "Bolaffi Flash Francobolli Italia, San Marino e Vaticano", "Bolaffi Flash Colonie", "Bolaffi International Francobolli", "Bolaffi International Poster" and "Bolaffi International Automobili" catalogues. Recently published monographs include "L'elogio del manifesto", "Catalogo dei Pittori Piemontesi" and catalogues of local artists' exhibitions held at Sala Bolaffi.
Our passion for stamp-collecting, which led to the publication of "La Settimana nel Mondo" in the forties followed by "Italia Filatelica", lives on today on the pages of the monthly "Il Collezionista".
